Junior coordinator guide: registrations, fill-ins and support
Checklist for club junior coordinators running teams in Australian tennis leagues: player profiles, registrations, fill-ins and who to contact.
For junior coordinators · Updated 28 October 2026
1. Every player needs a profile
All players competing in Australia need a Competitive Player Profile (CPP). Players cannot register for a competition without one, and many associations will not award points for unregistered players.
- Send families the CPP setup guide well before nominations close.
- Children under 15 must be linked to a parent or guardian account.
- Check for duplicate profiles early. Duplicates cause missing results and wrong ratings.
2. Nominate teams and register players
- 1Confirm the season dates, grades and nomination deadline with your association.
- 2Nominate your teams in League Manager.
- 3Add every player to the team list before the deadline your association sets.
- 4Give team managers the access they need to enter results.
Tip: Some associations require players added mid-season to be registered within a set number of days. Playing an unregistered or ineligible player can cost the team its points.
3. Fill-ins
Fill-in rules are set by each association and differ a lot. Common rules include:
- A fill-in may play in the same grade or a higher grade, but not a lower one.
- Fill-ins may have to play in ranking order.
- Some competitions allow fill-ins from other clubs; others need approval first.
Write your association's fill-in rules into your team manager briefing so everyone uses the same rules.
4. Behaviour and safety
- Share the Code of Behaviour with players and parents at the start of each season.
- Remind parents that their child is responsible for how their supporters behave.
- Know your association's process and deadline for Code of Behaviour reports.
