We built Peanut for tennis families, not to harvest data. Here's exactly what we collect, where it goes, and what we do with it.
When you set up a player profile you enter a name, date of birth, UTR rating, and one or more suburbs. That's it — no email address, no password, no account.
Your profile is saved in your browser's local storage first — so it works instantly and stays private to your device. It's also backed up to our secure database (hosted on Supabase, running on AWS in the Asia Pacific region) so we can understand how many families are using the app and improve it over time.
We use your profile only to personalise your experience — showing the right age groups, sorting tournaments by distance, and filtering by school holidays in your state. We don't use it to contact you, we don't sell it, and we don't share it with any third parties.
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how people use the app (which tabs they visit, whether filters get used, etc.). This is anonymous — no names, no personal details, no tracking across sites. It just helps us know what to improve.
When you search for a suburb, we send your search term to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to look up coordinates. We don't store your searches — only the final suburb and its coordinates are saved as part of your profile.
You can remove your profile at any time — tap your name in the top right corner and choose "Remove profile." This clears it from your device immediately. To request removal from our database, email us at hello@peanut.tennis and we'll sort it out promptly.
Peanut is designed for junior tennis players, so some profiles will belong to children. Parents and guardians are responsible for setting up and managing their child's profile. We treat all profile data with the same care regardless of age.
If we ever change how we handle your data in a meaningful way, we'll update this page. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
